ATTENDING THE SHOW

The Greater Binghamton Chamber Business Show 2011 is coming up on Thursday, April 28th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

This year's theme is "Get Connected".

This your chance to see a showcase of over 140 displays from companies that do business in the Greater Binghamton area. It is a great opportunity to network in a business-to-business environment.

Admission in Advance is:

$2 - For Admission Only
$4 - For Admission & Lunch (12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

Advance tickets available at the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce in the Metro Center (49 Court St.) & at Chamber Events leading up to the show.

Admission at the show (without an advance ticket) is $5.(Includes lunch - 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

There's Free Parking the day of the show at municipal parking ramps with validated ticket from the show for free parking. Plus free parking at the Binghamton Mets Stadium, 211 Henry Street, with a free shuttle to and from the show.

One of the special features at the show will be Speed Networking. Participants will have one minute to share their information with another 19 people in each session. The sessions will take place on the upper concourse (see show map) at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm. These sessions are free of charge and are on a first come first serve basis. We do recommend for you to pre-register below with your contact information and at what time you would like to participate. We suggest that you arrive at the Speed Networking Area at least 10 minutes before your session.

Be prepared to describe your product or service in one minute. Focus on how someone can benefit from your product/service or share what makes it unique. Bring enough business cards for each participant (at least 19). If you want to share additional printed material, limit it to no more than a one page document. Begin with the end in mind - You won’t be able to connect in depth with every person you meet. View the experience as a way to increase potential referral sources and with the intention of identifying those individuals who you’d like to connect with in the future. Follow up – Set appointments with the people you’d like to become better acquainted with and find out more about their business needs and how you can positively impact their business or develop a strategic alliance.
